October to February is the peak wedding season in Corbett. Days are pleasant, and evenings suit bonfires and outdoor sangeet. Summers are hot and dry, and the monsoon brings heavy rain, which is risky for lawn functions.
Season also decides what your guests can do. As per the official Corbett Tiger Reserve website, the Bijrani safari zone is open from 15 October to 30 June and the Dhikala zone from 15 November to 15 June, while Jhirna, Dhela and Garjia stay open all year. A winter wedding lets you add a morning safari for guests.

Music after 10 pm. Under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, loudspeakers and public address systems cannot be used between 10 pm and 6 am, except inside closed spaces like banquet halls. So plan late sangeet or DJ nights indoors. Resorts near the forest edge may also set their own tighter limits.
Forest-side venues. Many Corbett resorts border forest land. Bonfires, fireworks and lighting near the boundary can have extra conditions. We handle the required permissions and check each resort’s rules for you.
Marriage registration. If either partner is a resident of Uttarakhand, the state’s Uniform Civil Code requires the marriage to be registered within 60 days. You can apply on the official UCC marriage registration portal. Couples from other states should also check the registration rules of their home state.

This size gives you the widest freedom. Boutique properties, compact premium resorts and value-focused resorts can work because you are not forced to buy a huge room inventory. This is a sweet spot for a premium two-night wedding. Properties with 40–70 rooms can become realistic depending on sharing, children and single occupancy. Namah, Lemon Tree, Aahana and similar resort categories may enter the conversation, but the final fit depends on room requirement rather than event-lawn capacity alone.
Room inventory becomes a major selection factor. Resorts such as Riverview or larger residential properties can simplify hospitality by keeping more guests together. A larger lawn is easy to find in Corbett; 70–90 usable guest rooms at the right rate are often the harder part.
At this level, start with accommodation mathematics. A 200-guest wedding can require close to 90–100 rooms depending on sharing and VIP allocations. You may need a large resort, a secondary hotel or a carefully planned overflow property. Decide whether keeping everyone together is worth paying more for a venue with larger inventory.
Do not assume a room block automatically includes every event space. Ask which lawns, poolside areas, decks and banquet halls are included, for how many hours and for which functions.
Ask the resort what indoor spaces can legally and operationally support late-evening entertainment. Do not build a Sangeet plan around an assumption that amplified outdoor music can continue indefinitely.
Some resorts prefer in-house vendors, some allow outside teams with fees, and some have category-specific restrictions. The vendor policy can change the total wedding cost more than the room tariff.
A bridal room, groom room, parent room and vendor green room should be decided before the rooming list is final. Otherwise the wedding day starts by taking guest rooms away from people who were promised them.
One indoor backup for a 250-guest wedding is not helpful if that hall only works for 100 people. Ask for the actual layout, not only the name of the ballroom.
